Slow posting and the future.

Well,  I haven't posted since May, I thought I would put something up so that no one think that I just disappeared. I haven't.
The past 2 years have been trying to say the least. My personal life was turned around in a drastic way and I've been working through it all to come out the other side. I'm now settled and back at the art table with a fire like no other.
With that comes the question of using this blog as a format to get my art across. I have all of the necessary avenues to get my art out digitally (Tumblr, Blogspot, Facebook, Twitter, IG, etc) and have been slimming my efforts down to posting on IG, Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook only. I'm sure that I'll be back here to post up explanations of designs and such, but for the most part, these posts were taking up so much of my time to write that I've been enjoying the quick posts of late.
So if you would like to keep up with me and my art, follow me on Instagram under "Santosian" of Facebook under Santos Illustration.
Until the next cover that needs it's story told, Cheers! I'm heading into the art room.

New Torche cover in the works.

Currently working on the new Torche album cover and after a setback I'm rolling through the inking and colouring process.
Seeing as I won't be showing off all too much of the cover during the process, I thought I would show everyone the VagBot (left) and the CockBot (right). Yeah, it's like that.

I will try to keep this updated as best I can. I know that I have a backlog of posts and new art to put up and will try to do that as soon as I get a minute.

Burial Clothing

I'm happy to announce that I will be working with Ryan Kasparian and Burial Clothing

The first design is a reprint of the "Reptilian" design. This originally was limited to 50 shirts and was printed white on black. Burial has revived the design and will be printing it in silver this time.

"Antlereye" is the second design and was an illustration used for a collaboration poster with Brokenpress. This tee carries the illustration only from that design.

Burial also has tons of shirts from other awesome artists such as Ryan Kasparian, Chris Angelucci, Bruno Guerreir, Aaron Riddle, and more.

New Lamb Of God "Bone Mandala" design.

Lamb Of God just finished up their tour with Killswitch Engage, Testament, and Huntress and had a couple of my designs in tow.
The new "Bone Mandala" design (above) is one of two new designs that were with the guys. Both shirts had tour dates on back as well. Thanks to everyone who picked one up!

Sketch for the Farmer's Brow beer.

Sketch for the Salty Ghosts beer.
I'm working on a new design for High On Fire, but have a break for the next two days and decided to work on a couple of new labels for Epic Ales. Be on the look out for Epic Ales at your local Washington beer store/grocery store/liquor store.

Hopfest 2013.

The awesome folks over at Brouwer's Cafe recently commissioned me to design a t-shirt for this years Hopfest. I guess my work for Epic Ales is how Matt and Nat came to find me and we quickly went to work on figuring out an idea. They had a "hop demon" from previous Hopfests, so they asked that I metal him up and make him look more menacing. Demons are pretty easy to make more grim and they were stoked on the final design.
You can read more about Hopfest on their blog and if you live in Seattle, WA, you can head down to Brouwer's Cafe starting Thursday, September 26th- Sunday, September 29th.
